What’s a good career in real estate now that flipping houses seems to be dying out?

I’ve read a lot of things about how flipping houses is starting to be less of a successful career, however I was aiming to do that down the road. I’m 21 and going to a local community college for an associates degree in business, and then I was thinking of going to real estate school or something like that. Now I don’t know if that’s such a great idea with the real estate market becoming so bumpy.

Anyone have any ideas on another career path in real estate that I can aim for (and make lots of money :) )?

Flipping houses?
My friend and I are planning to become professional flippers, which means we will need to leave our current job and make trips outside of our current state to buy houses. We are thinking of buying bank owned properties and foreclosed properties. My question is should we begin now or wait a few months to begin buying to flip? Where is the market hot now meaning what states?

I currently work at a large commercial real estate investment firm in Boston doing appraisal, gaining experience about the mechanics of Real Estate. For a living though, I want to flip houses. What do you think is the best way to gain experience doing this, I would like something such as an internship or even being an assistant somewhere. Are there any companies in Boston that do this (I couldn’t find any) or is there a site that I could find people that do it in the area? In advance, thanks for the help!

How would you begin ‘flipping houses’ and how lucrative would it be?

I am a college student about to graduate in a year, and I have some debt that needs to be paid off. I know that flipping houses can be pretty lucrative, especially since you’re working in the real estate market. I know that the housing market bubble burst about a year or so ago, and that houses aren’t worth as much as before, but I’m referring to how profitable flipping would be in the next couple of years. Also, how would you start going about it? Since I don’t have much capital, should someone like me buy a small older house first, and try and work my way up from there first? Thanks!

I am thinking about flipping houses. I am only 20 years old is it possible for me to do this?

I am reallying thinking about flipping houses for a living because it seems really fun and rewarding. I am going to be taking construction courses at my school and most likley majoring in real estate. Is it possible for someone like me at such a young age to start flipping houses? Is it possible for me to get a loan from a bank to maybe start this process? Please give me any help or advice that you can. Thanks.
